Well, what can I say? Coldplay get the award for the
performance of the festival. I wasn't that keen on
Chris Martin's band before seeing them play, but he
really interacted with the crowd and gave off so much
energy. There wasn't a single person sitting down for
the performance (except my friend who twisted her
ankle while dancing eratically!), and the atmosphere
was electric.

After sleeping through Lou Reed in the sunshine, I
woke up to see Richard Ashcroft come on stage and give
the most dynamic performance of the festival. Singing
his solo hits as well as The Verve numbers, he truly
rocked the stage.

After yesterday's performances, today had a lot to
live up to. The day's music for me began with Maximo
Park. I forgot how good they were, but as they bashed
out hits like 'Apply some Pressure' and 'Postcard of a
Painting', the crowds were on their feet.

After an hour of anticipation, Foo Fighters took to
the stage. The light show was fantastic (although a
little bright at times), as was drummer Taylor Hawkins, who
put in the most impressive drum performance I've
ever seen. The only problem was that Dave Grohl's
voice wasn't powerful enough over the rest of the music.

Primal Scream show that a break only improves their performance. They (with Kate Moss who introduced them) really warmed up the crowds before Foo Fighters came on and rocked the stage.

The Kooks were swiftly followed by Dirty Pretty
Things. Carl Barat and the boys were on top form.
