"Do you realise that every blade of grass is a different shade of green?" - from My Voice Will Go With You
Wow, how long did this take?
Love to see handmaking is still going on.
In school it is all CAD/CAM
Lovely end product.
The whole process took about four days start to finish. But there's a lot of leaving things to dry involved, so it takes ages.
CAD to start with for me, on this project although I usually design on paper or in my head. If I had CAM options I'd be using them, but CNC machines are not cheap!
I get my students to do their initial designs on paper and then scan them in so they can work on them in CAD programs. They then transfer them to CAM programs for manufacture.
However, what gives me the most pleasure is those students who chose to make furniture in the traditional manner.
