*grins* I've been learning for abotu 5 years now. That just leaves me another 4 or 5 before I become an adequate amateur..

I love the discipline, the way that different rhythms meld together to get that haunting/painful/joyful sound, the way that improvisation is expected and respected within the form and the sheer viscerality of it.

Started learning tango too..

Does not matter how long you study just that it moves you and you love it!

I am so trying to get my better half to tango with me. I think he is seriously considering it.

Shame we don't live closer. I've had 3 lessons and I've 2 weeks to learn enough to write about learning tango in London! I've just asked for an extension - cross your fingers for me

actually most of the stuff I'm happiest about is either not on the internet at all or is on other / pay sites. There's no incentive as strong as someone else's deadline to stir the ole creative urges *grins*
