We watched The Exorcist - Director's Cut right afterwards, and I didn't need the blanket for that. :)

Ring the US remake, or the original Japanese?
I haven't seen the US versions, but the original Ring trilogy are just about the scariest films I've ever seen.. (and I've seen quite a lot of scary films)

I've seen both versions, and I absolutely agree. In this case, however, we were watching the US remake. Which is not so bad, actually.
Of course, the German dubbing drove me nuts, because the child had trouble with the English R and kept yelling "Wachel! Wachel!".. Argh.
