I'm back !!! slightly different angle to this now. More of a personal daily journal. I may or may not post a portriat of my ugly mug, you may get a bit of me!!!

I'm not going to make any grand promises about sticking it out to the end and I'm already wondering whether this is a daft thing to do, but alot continues to challenge and engage me over the years, I need somewhere to put it all into perspective. Sadly today was the funeral of my great niece Scarlett May, born asleep on the 3rd June 2012.

I was glad to be there to support my niece and my little sister. Tough day, but beautiful sunshine :)

Thanks Helen. She had very severe spina bifida discovered at the 20 week scan. My niece and her partner were very brave.

Helen it was very tough for them particularly the birth, but they are young and have hope. Sadly it is all too reminiscent of my sisters (her mother's) loss years ago and I think in some ways my sister is finding it harder. Christopher (their son, my nephew) was born with a congenital heart defect and only lived three months. But it was great to have that three months with possibly the most smiley baby I have ever known. He would have been 18 this coming thursday - so timing sucks ! but we are all looking after each other as best we can. I hope I was supportive to them all at the funeral.

Viv it is very sad.

Thanks mysteritmo
