Dogs. Fiber Arts. Occasional Cats, Trolleys & Trains & Flowers. And other moments from my life that I find interesting.
**Motorola ic902 - Probably the best of the (poor) choices with Nextel for a camera phone.
**Canon Powershot A430 - Oh, how I love thee, let me count the ways....Primary camera - if it a good photo, this took it.

I took these this summer at the Thurston Mills site in Saco, ME, on the
Nonesuch River. I'd gone on a tour of the falls in Saco (there are 2)
and at the previous site (Cascade Falls) I'd realized that I'd worn
entirely the wrong shoes - it's a climb to get down to it, and sandals
were an error, so I did the climb barefoot. So, when we got to this one
and I saw another climb looming, I elected to stay at the top of the
ravine and take photos there. That's when I realized it was apparently
heaven for mushrooms and lichens and mosses of all sorts. I immediately
thought of swamprose and Euphro and got to the photographing :). These
are the best of a great many photos - next time, I'll wear long pants
and sleeves and be able to get closer.
