Viv, I've never seen ducklings riding on their mother's back only cygnets.. How lovely : )

No I didn't think I had either - it was a grebe or a grebe mallard cross not sure - but it somehow looked very pleased with itself as the other ducklings paddled behind and I sort of felt Mum was a bit non-plussed :)
