This is my personal blog, not a venue for saleable images. In fact, because it's here that I share things that are important to me with the members of the moblog community, photo quality's not my priority. Events, occasions, achievements, thoughts, trips and experiments - you'll find them all here. Contact me for the development version of my photo portfolio, for a selection of saleable images or visit my dance photography blog or my website for cuttings. And remember that all photos remain my copyright unless I've specifically said otherwise.

"Give, give, give -- what is the point of having experience, knowledge or talent if I don't give it away? Of having stories if I don't tell them to others? Of having wealth if I don't share it? I don't intend to be cremated with any of it! It is in giving that I connect with others, with the world and with the divine."

"The grand show is enternal. It is always sunrise somewhere; the dew is never dried all at once; a shower is forever falling; vapour is ever rising. Eternal sunrise, eternal dawn and gloaming, on sea and continents and islands, each in its turn, as the round earth rolls."

Thank you all - Viv, if by beautiful weather you mean sunny, about 9 degrees, with a wind chill that takes it down to zero yes. But gorgeous nonetheless

it is taniwha, I can't recommend it enough, you really should consider taking the family there - Atlantic Airways fly direct from Stanstead now (which is how I got there). I'm going to do my best to persuade my brother to take his

I met people who had taken the ferry from both Denmark and Iceland to get to the Faroes so imagine that one could drive to Denmark and from there get the ferry to both places...

crickson says:

Funny, I don't usually think of ferries as open ocean-going vessels.

I always think of the Faroes as closer to Scotland than Iceland - but still, I don't know how the Egyptians made it so far. It's more impressive than the pyramids in a way.

Far Fair Pharoes in Faroes crickson?

jphn says:

the fastest way to the Faroe Islands is taking a direct Atlantic Airways flight out of Stanstead. In order to take a real North Atlantic venture (combining the Faroe Islands and Iceland) - it is easy to take Atlantic Airways to the Faroe Islands and an Atlantic Airways flight from the Faroe Islands to reykjavik...and then a Icelandair flight back to the UK (-;

Dhamaka says:

what a great idea - As you probably know I mentioned Atlantic Airways in the thread above, but have put their, and IcelandAir's URLs in the first post in case others are interested
