These are gorgeous!

Dania says:

Thanks, Euphro!

Right now I'm pretty pissed off that there are plans to build a touristic resort alarmingly close to the dunes where I took these shots. If it doesn't destroy the ecosystem, it will seriously disturb it. And this is part of a natural reserve... :(

Euphro says:

That would be a real shame. What is the flower in the fourth pic?

Dania says:

I don't know, but I will try to find out...

Thanks! It's the one of the set that I found the most intriguing :)

Wow that's a gorgeous plant! Very interesting stuff about its pollination and history too. Thanks very much for finding out about it :)

Beautiful shots! I was wondering if this was where the resort was going up. Honestly, that sort of thing makes me so angry. More resorts really aren't needed.

The flower in the second shot is very intriguing.

Factotum says:

Where are you?!

10th Aug 2010, 00:52

Dania says:

Thanks, Caine. I couldn't find the name of the flower in the second shot. The petals are very fragile and dry. It is intriguing.

Factotum - Right now, I'm at the south coast of Portugal.
