The chain link fence wasn't too bad, but after the complaints they quickly added a viewing platform and a low fence. The problem was the flame's right next to the press area, so they needed some security for the journalists.

The Olympics are going great thanks! The city is electrified like I've never seen before, and there is a total party atmosphere here. Unfortunately I'm flying out to Dallas tomorrow for a conference, so I'm going to miss the closing ceremonies. If there's a Canada/US hockey final and Canada win on Sunday I'm going to miss possibly the biggest celebration Vancouver's ever seen :(
