Very in depth review there. Here's a question, do they test better if you make the misxture the night before?
Also... I never have anything other than sugar and freshly squeezed lemon juice on mine - best way by far!
apparently as long as you make it earlier then starch is released and they are better
if you have never tried anything else- how do you know that is the best option?
i followed Helen and had the black forest mix with added fresh strawberry and I added cream
I'm a fan of sugar and lemon juice too. I never fancy anything else on my pancakes. Interested in your research though as I've never been much good at making pancakes. BS is very good at them though. I can't resist saying he's an expert tosser : )

Twiglet-they are so easy - just be confident and my frying pan to larger frying pan means 'tossing'is not an issue :)
Good question.
I just know, that's how! It's how nature intended :P
Everyone needs to tag photos pancakes 2010 or something!
There'll be no pancake blogging from us, we're out tomorrow evening. Maybe Wednesday...
Sometimes I'm adding beer in the batter (well not at the moment). It makes them very light. Also done it with champagne (leftover). Most of the alcohol is evaporated when cooking. Maybe tonight :)
I've tried other stuff and am a member of the lemon juice brigade.. but prefer no sugar
normally I would just be lemon and sugar or golden syrup but the branching out was good :)
Never even crossed my mind to use lemon on pancakes. I'll have to try it. Sugar is good, and I've had them with a lot of the fruit and nut toppings you've listed. Makin' me hungry!
well as you see lemon and sugar is probably the most popular in the UK
Let us know your thoughts
I've been craving pancakes since seeing this... and eaten them several times...
I guess they're healthier than other stuff I could be snacking on :)
yes -not too bad health wise
and you don't put sugar on them - so that's ok
