One single, strong image can often have more impact than a narrative series. Illustration is a matter of telling a story in a single image.
Still-life is a popular vehicle for illustration. The relationship between various objects gathered in an image, for instance, tell a story, or can be made to do so by their inclusion & positioning. Still life offers control, of lighting & of composition.
