Sucker for reflections and repeating geometry. Erratic uploader but always taking more pics. Now more behind than ever thanks to several recent work trips.
Currently shooting with a Panasonic DMC-TZ3, which has all the zoom I could ever need, but lacks some other refinements. It'll do until there's an affordable SLR with enormo-zoom that I can fit in my pocket; watching the Four Thirds consortium with interest ...
Did you go to Gormley's Blind Light a while back? I found that terrifying enough, not sure I could hack this
Jane — no, but it came up in conversation while we were at the Tate Modern! It sounded lovely to me; very uplifting if you didn't mind the relative lack of visibility. This is rather more sombre, but your eyes adapt and you can walk in or out as slowly as you like. It's not absolute pitch black; people loom at you out of the darkness (fascinating in itself) and the longer you spend in there, the better you can see. There's an obvious Holocaust reference if you choose to see it that way, but there's also a serene/contemplative aspect if you are lucky enough to be in there at a quiet time. I really liked it.
taniwha — definitely well worth a visit. I think it's there until April?
