This would be in December of 1977. I had turned 20 just that November. Left to Right: Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, Mother and me in the front. Gad, 31 years ago.

I love this group. I'd almost forgotten about it, so it's great to see it reactivated!

Thanks, Mara. :)

I'd forgotten about it too, Factotum. I'd never posted here either. Figured I might as well.

Indeed, Billion. I'm rarely caught on camera. Couldn't get away with hiding in '77, it was xmas, and I was being hunted by masses of family with cameras. :D

Caine says:

Yep. :) My Great-Grandfather and other Great-Grandmother weren't to be in this shot, this one was just the four of us.

4 generations is quite amazing when there isn't a baby in sight!

Heh. My family was made up of early breeders; my mother had turned 17 the month before I was born.

I was raised by my grandparents, and their youngest son (my uncle) was 4 years older than me. The kids in school used to accuse me of lying when I said my grandma was my *grandmother*. :D

My great-grandfather (husband to great-gran in photo) was the first to die, when I was 22. (I don't know about Cecil, my step-great grandfather. He was my other great-gran's 3rd husband, and he told my grandmother the day he left that he wouldn't have anything to do with the family until the old bitch of a battleax was dead. He made good on that promise, we never heard anything from him. I guess he died before she did.)

My other great-grandmother (not pictured, my grandfather's mum) died next, when I was 25. The great-grandmother in the photo died when I was 29. She lived long enough to see more than one great-great-grandchild, but they didn't come from me. :D
