When I went to see the film I took a couple of buddies. One of them turned up super-late, so we were obliged to watch the whole thing from the very front row of the auditorium. I was a little pissed - if it wasn't for that I think the D9 would have blown me away. Great film.

There's a piratical copy with a terrible soundmix available. Don't download it unless you want to strain to hear everything they say and be deafened by the sound effects. Still, excellent film it is.

In my opinion the best sci-fi film in years! Very funny - although admittedly my friends and I were the only ones in hysterical laughter...

That's the thing, it *is* funny, really funny! Again that's what makes it so good. A kinda of bigoted but lovable buffoon turns into the ultimate fallen hero avenging the people he sought to destroy.

I really should stop talking about it. But one day i wanna write a story like that.

I wonder if there any historical parallels? Apart from the obvious apartheid theme...

I can't wait to see it, I'm very excited about it. Good sci-fi is so hard to come by.
