I am a female, carbon based lifeform.
I am a New York City Native.
I am a Design Professional.
I take photographs.
I also sculpt, paint, create mosaics, and play with weapons.

And sometimes, I even dance about Architecture.

What I see, is what you get.

Caine says:

Oh, I like this so much. I love your night shots of New York.

7th Sep 2009, 08:46

bronxelf says:

Thanks. I haven't been shooting enough, really, and I lost a bunch of shots recently when I had a memory card failure. I actually thought this one might have been too dark to work with but post-production helped.

7th Sep 2009, 08:47

Caine says:

Aarrgghh, memory card failure is a bitch. The shine and reflections are so good in this shot, and the Chrysler building stands out beautifully. My favourite ever dress on Project Runway was the one Jay did based on the Chrysler building.

7th Sep 2009, 08:56

bronxelf says:

It was bound to happen, as the card was in there since late 04 or early 05. It's unfortunate, as I had a *GREAT* shot of Tori on there when it went down.

7th Sep 2009, 08:58

Caine says:

Damn. I'm not even sure how long I've had mine, but it suffers near continuous use, and I worry about failure. I had one bad moment with it, and it took me a couple of hours to get the photos to read properly. I should probably get a new one.

7th Sep 2009, 09:02

bronxelf says:

I would. Use the old one as a backup but switch out if you've been using the same one continually for a very long time.

7th Sep 2009, 09:03

Caine says:

I have been. I'll put a new one on top of the shopping list.

7th Sep 2009, 09:29

bronxelf says:

You can get a good deal from B&H.; Might be cheaper than finding something locally.

7th Sep 2009, 09:30

Caine says:

Thanks. Nothing camera is even close to cheap here.

bronxelf says:

I got a 4gb card for my dslr for...24 bucks, I think.

paintist says:

this should really have some music to go with it....I can almost hear some when I look at the image, just don't know what the music is tho....

7th Sep 2009, 10:23

bronxelf says:

If you think of it, let me know. :)

7th Sep 2009, 10:40

nige says:

This is great. I like the depths, especially with the chrysler building in the background.

7th Sep 2009, 10:46

bronxelf says:

I'm really amused, This really was a throwaway shot.

7th Sep 2009, 10:56

Caine says:

Pfffffft. Your New York shots are never throwaway. I don't see enough of them.

7th Sep 2009, 11:01

bronxelf says:

I really do need to shoot more. Seriously, it's freaking sad how little I've shot this year.

7th Sep 2009, 11:02

paintist says:

because it sounds to me like city streets.... but I do live in the leafy countryside so what do I know :-)

7th Sep 2009, 12:29

bronxelf says:

Well I didn't have any music in mind so this will suit just fine.

Sprocket says:

this is exactly how I envisage NY

7th Sep 2009, 14:13

Tori says:

Beautiful. Wish I was there.

7th Sep 2009, 19:33

bronxelf says:

You do. I was on my way to WD-50 when I took this.

(going back on Thursday. Neener.)

7th Sep 2009, 22:31

Tori says:

Holy shit. You are so cruel.

7th Sep 2009, 22:46

bronxelf says:

Hi, have we met?

7th Sep 2009, 22:48

Tori says:

Oh. We have.

The holy shit was you getting to go AGAIN already.

It certainly wasn't about how cruel you are.

I mean, that's one of the things I find so attractive about you.

Mmmm... eggs benedict.

Lick the plate for me.

bronxelf says:

It's a belated birthday gift from Noah and Connie. I have to drop off their eggs, anyway.

Should I have the duck for the threepeat or should I have the waygu?

8th Sep 2009, 06:53

Tori says:

I'd probably end up going with the duck again. The waygu was excellent, but the duck was transcendent.
