This is my personal blog, not a venue for saleable images. In fact, because it's here that I share things that are important to me with the members of the moblog community, photo quality's not my priority. Events, occasions, achievements, thoughts, trips and experiments - you'll find them all here. Contact me for the development version of my photo portfolio, for a selection of saleable images or visit my dance photography blog or my website for cuttings. And remember that all photos remain my copyright unless I've specifically said otherwise.

"Give, give, give -- what is the point of having experience, knowledge or talent if I don't give it away? Of having stories if I don't tell them to others? Of having wealth if I don't share it? "The grand show is enternal. It is always sunrise somewhere; the dew is never dried all at once; a shower is forever falling; vapour is ever rising. Eternal sunrise, eternal dawn and gloaming, on sea and continents and islands, each in its turn, as the round earth rolls."

"The bicycle is the most civilised conveyance known to man. Other forms of transport grow daily more nightmarish. Only the bicycle remains pure in heart."

I've just been invited to contribute to the International Flamenco Festival's glossy book commemorating 10 years since its first US production (it came to the UK where it's branded Sadler's Wells Flamenco Festival a while after).

I think it was this shot (from this year) that might have clinched it. w00t! w00t!

Help kids affected by cancer by sponsoring my passage through chemo at Exactly half way through the regime today..

... don't forget.. If 25% of the people on my moblog flist donated just £2 then Cyclists Fighting Cancer would get more than I'm aiming for

Caine says:

Congratulations, Dhamaka! It's well deserved.

31st Aug 2009, 16:59

Dhamaka says:

Thank you Caine - very quick off the mark. I'm thrilled. Of course it also adds to the during-chemo-workload but I'm happy to do whatever's necessary

31st Aug 2009, 17:01

Caine says:

Yes, but I expect that's much better than moping-through-chemo. At least you're busy and engaged with something very positive, and it is one nice feather in your cap too. :)

HUGE congratulations!

Dhamaka says:

thank you!
Caine, I'm really not one for moping, in fact the only low times I've had so far this year (and cross fingers it stays this way) have been a result of family challenges and low blood sugar
.. and believe me I really do already have more work than I can comfortably cope with - especially because the fatigue means sometimes I am not able to work at all. That's why I've not been around moblog so much. There just isn't the time.

31st Aug 2009, 17:24

Caine says:

I know moping isn't your natural state. Everyone here knows how important it is that you get enough rest; you're always missed when you aren't here, but we understand. :)
