I make things on the web, mobile and in the actual world.
I've done lots of bits and bobs over the years, and right now I'm mostly working on this.
I enjoy speaking about things I like, most recently this. You can email me if you'd like, and I'm on twitter.
wooohoo! phonage!
I'm on the verge of buying a new phone.. I'm considering the sharp gx30 - do you know anything about it? The main reason I'm not so keen on a p900 is that it's not a clamshell.. otherwise I'd totally snap it up...
After having just set it up and cajoled it into life, it spatters along at a fine pace, easy, intuitive to use, and I say this after moving directly from teh Treo 600 to it. I dont know about the Sharp, Ill have a look at it - you know, it sort of IS a bit clamshell like, small flip cover on the bottom, so you could just pretend..
And lets see what photos it takes then - Joe? Its mine I tell you, all miiiiiiine!!!
aaaah you git!....I almost bought one, but figured my iPAQ would do most of it....so I bought a 6600...subsequently, my iPAQ committed suicide by throwing itself down several sets of nasty pointy steps...grrrr
*laughs* i could, but the point is the buttons are hidden in a clamshell - no more phoning random people from my bag... when I had a nokia before I used to lock the keypad, which meant that the phone would only be able to dial emergency calls... and that's what it did. I need a bit of protection from the rest of the items in my handbag ;)
You can do the same with this phone - and you can remove the bottom call dial completely, with the lovely little screw driver they supply the phone with, and replace it with a little doodang. even if not locked. the phone using handwriting recognition to access databases, contacts etc, so the chances of making a random call because your dragon ballz figurine is bashing against it in your bag are slim.
Plus its just lovely.
it is that. I think i'll go and have a look at the sharp phone tomorrow and give it a try, if that is not good enough then I'll see what the p900 is like.
*agonising over the choice*
Tell me about it - but Orange do seem to try harder than most networks, and their support is bang on...
not that GPRS works anywhere in london, bu hey ho.
orange switzerland sucks major.
but i guess in ingerland its bettah ey?
Orange uk rules!!! although some might say im byest as i work for them lol
So, your Treo then.. What's that doing right now?
*hint* *hint* : )
Do some googling, there's a pirate version of Lemmings for UiQ around somewhere. Sadly I don't have it :(
Yay for new phone!
I'm really happy with orange at the moment. When I went to checkout about my upgrade the shop said I was only eligible for a samsung, which I wasn't that into, but if I switched to O2 I could get a 6600. So I went along with that , but then when it came to calling orange and switiching my number they offered me double minutes for a year and chucked in a 6600 with it! All from going into the shop with no money whatsoever.
those are the facts - the cellular co's are all dropping in whatever it takes; as they know that there is no future for analogue phone lines - good think tanks they must have to give us all the shiz for free ne?
Ok, I have folded - I've ordered the p900. Now I'm in agony waiting for it......
