This post would have been a lot more smug and in praise of the Ordnance Survey, had a certain byway not taken me right through a field of cattle, which then chased me. Cue some distinctly unathletic inching towards a gate. Still, can't beat the view. Llyn Peninsula.

sometimes a little fear is wise.

I'd pay to see OJ inch to a gate.
especially in such a fine place.

It is a very fine place. The mountain is called Yr Eifl by the way. There's a huge hill fort up there which translates as the Home of the Giants. But yes, comedy aside, the moment the cows spotted me from across a field and decided to leg it towards me in unison was not the greatest. I can only conclude that they were frisky. . .

Young cattle are incurably curious. Especially if someone is moving in an interesting way...It's not their fault that they are also built for trampling! Glad you made it out OK. Such a beautiful place - that fort sounds fascinating.
