Damn nice that first one, and the last looks biblical to me. I like the reflection of light.

I still have no idea what the top one is. that's why I like it. greatly mysterious.

Swamprose, I hope it won't disappoint you to learn that the top one is the stone passageway leading to the natural cave which lies beneath Castell Carreg Cennen. It's built on top of a natural escarpment and the cave adds to the mystery of the place.

JD, what sort of crop do you mean? These are straight out of the camphone so not cropped at all.

Nige, a wet day at a castle. That's a firing position, not a cruxifix but it does look very ecclesiastical doesn't it? Believe me, the weather was very much lending itself to reflections today.

It's a very much photographed and painted castle.

Just trimming the left and bottom off a bit.

Only just got my head around the top one - it's been driving me nuts!

I've always fancied a trip around the Beacons. My sister didn't stay in Cardiff long enough for me to do much exploring beyond Pontsticill

Fantastic! Love the 1st and 2nd shots.

To be honest, I never really think of this part of Wales as being in the Beacons JD. Technically it is - but right on its western fringes.

Glad you like them Caine.
