This is my personal blog, not a venue for saleable images. In fact, because it's here that I share things that are important to me with the members of the moblog community, photo quality's not my priority. Events, occasions, achievements, thoughts, trips and experiments - you'll find them all here. Contact me for the development version of my photo portfolio, for a selection of saleable images or visit my dance photography blog or my website for cuttings. And remember that all photos remain my copyright unless I've specifically said otherwise.

"Give, give, give -- what is the point of having experience, knowledge or talent if I don't give it away? Of having stories if I don't tell them to others? Of having wealth if I don't share it? I don't intend to be cremated with any of it! It is in giving that I connect with others, with the world and with the divine."

"The grand show is enternal. It is always sunrise somewhere; the dew is never dried all at once; a shower is forever falling; vapour is ever rising. Eternal sunrise, eternal dawn and gloaming, on sea and continents and islands, each in its turn, as the round earth rolls."
........ John Muir

"The bicycle is the most civilised conveyance known to man. Other forms of transport grow daily more nightmarish. Only the bicycle remains pure in heart."
........ Iris Murdoch

Didn't feel too well so asked a friend to drive me to the hospital for a consultation with the reconstructive surgeon.

We got lost on the way back. Probably didn't help that I had my eyes shut...

We had to call 540Air to find out how to get back

cariadus says:

Oh dear, it's never fun traversing our motorway network at the best of times, is it?

:)
we got lost before even getting to the motorway.. and it's certainly not easy to navigate when you've been curled up in the seat with your eyes shut :)

midlife says:

Is there an equivalent service to OnStar there?

7th Jul 2009, 05:09

Dhamaka says:

Don''t know what OnStar is, but if it's a navigator we had TomTom who didn't help and 540Air who did :)

taniwha says:

what a drag. Hope it went well anyway.

540air says:

Glad I could help with a little local knowledge and google maps :)

Geodyne says:

At least you appeared to be on the right side (I hope) of the motorway!

Sending you vibes.

Caine says:

As long as you don't drive with your eyes shut. ;D I hope the consult went well.

Did he do the special SatNav voice too? :)

9th Jul 2009, 22:34

Orbit says:

hope all went well

9th Jul 2009, 22:35

Dhamaka says:

Spiderbaby - I think he was trying not to last. It takes two people with a really special talent to get lost in a straight line..

thank you guys - It went as well as can be expected when you're talking about me and the NHS

10th Jul 2009, 09:25

Spiderbaby says:

Straight lines are the worst. Fewer signs to tell you where you are, fewer options to turn off and it's very hard to tell when your "straight line" is actually a curve taking you steadily but surely away from where you need to be!
Glad you fathomed it in the end :)

Dhamaka says:

that's a very good way to think of it. If I may I'll use that in the future :)

and so am I!
