A timed drive into work gave me a time of 13m 1sec, which means I'm only 4 minutes slower going in on two wheels than four. I then switched to the sun deflectors and pedal power to try and beat my record, but the breeze was against me. Not too shabby a time though.

yes, there are some interesting statistics around - an alarming number of people who live less than 2 miles from their place of work actually choose to DRIVE there, even though it's almost always QUICKER (and obviously cheaper) to WALK.
