Sprocket says:

I had one on my thumb for about a year when I was a student. I eventually removed it with some fabulous acid like medication from the doc and regular hacking away at it with a scalpel.

Germ says:

I had one that looked the same at that. I eventualy cut it out with a knife, has never returned after many years. It was very painfull to cut it out.

Kat says:

I have one and after looking at pictures I found this. Its on the outer side of my right hand, and the only thing I have been able to do is constantly look at it using nail clippers and a magnefying glass. My grandpa told me to mix dish soap and hot water, the put the warty surface of my hand in it. I think I might go with seeing a dermatologist though...

Bert says:

I also have this one on my little finger at the foot, didn't think it was verruca after seeing this picture. I feel pain whenever it gets pressed, touch, or since you can't dodge all the time. Also hurts everytime I'm on my shoe and I'm on it 5 days a week / 9 hrs a day, and I can't stand it any longer so I removed it last night with a nail cutter.

I did have one on my foot and i always got told to use duct tape for 6 days ( keep reapplying it everyday ) and eventually it went because verrucas live on oxygen so you need to suffercate it with tape.. it works.. try it :)

christina says:

Bazooka Gel extra strength, soak the foot, blade it but don't bleed it, or they can spread, to show the black dots and apply gel, every night soak foot, apply gel. at end of week skin will be thick and easy to scalpel off. trick is every night, do not give up, keep at it. Cryo did not work for me, mine have spread all over my heels, I would advise to cover them and use good infection control as very infectious, the gel will give protection from that. Good luck, but a small percentage of people will never get rid of them and will always carry the virus, and always get them, I have mine 7 years, im a nurse and i have tried everything, bananna skins to cryo (freeze treatment) Bazooka extra strengh is good, but sore at times.

I am 13, i have had loads of them and they arent very nice! My first 2 hurt, but i froze them with this verruca thing, and it hasnt come back in the same place since, but i have 2 more on my foot now, and cant get rid of it :(

20th Dec 2010, 18:36

Trevor says:

Basically, cut out the black bits and keep clean. It'll go. Duct tape covering is widely successful, as is an application of cider vinegar although this will sting.

Abby says:

I have one right on the patch of soft skin between my big toe and... I guess, index toe? I've had it for about 7 months now I think, and I hate it! My Mum isn't much help, she says she had one on the sole of her foot and it went away with time, but I'm a bit embarrassed about it, even though it's hardly noticeable. It can hurt from time to time especially wearing flip-flops and my school shoes, particularly on hot days :-S I'm not keen on medication and stuff, but the duct tape sounds like a good idea!

d says:

i have one on my right ring finger on the knuckle, it hurts like hell - so i dare not try cutting it or anything.
it's been craped with a blade and froen a few times by gp who then said to buy an over-tthe-counter treatment which im ignoring the instructions and just using daily as the cells are quit aggressive.
i have been referred to a specialist and have to wait a few months and it'll cost me @ least $200!

10th Dec 2011, 10:31

Am says:

I have a huge crop/cluster on my foot! it started off with one and i had it for about a month before another one appeared, b4 then, my mum and i went to get it iced off but it hurt to much and i stopped it half way through:(
since then it grew to about 5 or 6 so we used a little bottle of some kind of treatment. that work but i kept picking at them when they became all crusty like the one in the picture(bad move coz that made them spread).
now i have 2 many to count :(

HELP ME!!!

p.s duct tape sounds good?

29th Dec 2011, 08:12

the helper says:

here is a great way to get rid of em. Get ice and rub it all over the verruca for a while till the verruca feels very cold and hard. Then put tape over it for a day. Then the next night take the tape of slowly so it doesn't hurt and then just scrape it off!

Soak cotton wool in Apple cider vinegar (with the mother) place on verruca stick plaster on so it stays in place. Do this just before you go to bed. In the morning take it off have shower etc do the same every night for as long as you can hack it. It Works.

James Evans(jevans01-at-mvtel-dot-net) says:

Would like to share my old Dads way to get rid of them and it works.
This sounds much worse than it really is.
The wart itself has little feeling so...
Stick a sewing needle through the wart at its base. Hold the needle over a candle flame until it gets as hot as you can stand it. Pull out needle and forget the wart. It will disappear in a few days. I think the heat kills it. This doesn't cost 1 cent and anyone can do it.
Will share my old Dads method. Used it on me and IT WORKS. Huge seed wart on hand. Wart has little feeling so....stick sewing needle thru wart at base. Hold needle over candle flame as long as you can (don't let it blister) Remove needle and forget wart. It will be gone in a week or so. Worked for me and later for my friend.
