Thanks for posting these (I think). They are very hard viewing, I must say. I hate demolition of buildings at the best of times and as part of my heart is set in Waveney Terrace forever it is particularly difficult.
Bummer.
There is a good amount of my dignity and pride in that rubble.... Sad... very sad....
Waveney is the answer to all questions. Randomness lives on.
:)
I loved Waveney Terrace (sniff).
Is there anything left of K block? I read they weren't going to finish the demolition until the summer of 2006.
Hi Lion, I don't know what the current situation is, since I'm not on the UEA campus too regularly. Last time I was there (Nov 11th), there were still a few random bits knocking about. Martwine is around there a fair bit, I think, and might be able to shed more light. Failing that, I'm there on Feb 9th :-).
I was gifted the pleasure of living in the prison twice once in 2002 and again in 2004 thanks to the resident tutorship scheme (even though i wasnt actually an RT). Campus just isn't the same now. Mind you something needed to be done - i saw a lot of rats near waveney over the years!
