Sucker for reflections and repeating geometry. Erratic uploader but always taking more pics. Now more behind than ever thanks to several recent work trips.
Currently shooting with a Panasonic DMC-TZ3, which has all the zoom I could ever need, but lacks some other refinements. It'll do until there's an affordable SLR with enormo-zoom that I can fit in my pocket; watching the Four Thirds consortium with interest ...
My .. lovely for these shots? They are magnificent! And why first is not HL?!
I'm especially fond of the bottom one with its delicate zigzag path of footprints through the snow.
Caine: thank you! There were so many of these trees and I just couldn't stop shooting them.
shitake: thank you -you're very kind :) There was a strangely Japanese aesthetic to the whole thing.
factotum: thank you - and I'm sort of intrigued by that pathway; wondering if it might have been a cat?
Gorgeous ... like a virtual Christmas card except it has been put together with good taste.
Probably shouldn't say 'pretty', but really that first shot is just so very pretty..... a fave :-)
taniwha: thank you - that made me laugh! I'll take the compliment and run though :)
paintist: thank you, and I don't mind the word 'pretty' at all!
Blimey. Looks like Fernie had a ton of snow.
Love the top photo.
*faves
Thanks!
And it did, for a bit ... powder when we arrived, and it kept coming down. And then we had the Big Melt, when it rained for two days, then it froze ... they've not done brilliantly for snow or temperatures the last couple of weeks. Looks like things are getting colder though, so hopefully they'll get a ton more snow.
