Sucker for reflections and repeating geometry. Erratic uploader but always taking more pics. Now more behind than ever thanks to several recent work trips.

Currently shooting with a Panasonic DMC-TZ3, which has all the zoom I could ever need, but lacks some other refinements. It'll do until there's an affordable SLR with enormo-zoom that I can fit in my pocket; watching the Four Thirds consortium with interest ...

taniwha says:

Incredible sight. A friend of mine was in Canada over Christmas. She said it was so cold that it felt like her face was burning.

I'm going to have that song in my head all night now.

Cool! Probably best not to stand underneath those.

Jane Doe says:

Swamprose: absolutely! B.C., when it wasn't melting, a couple of weeks ago.

taniwha: I'm not surprised! We missed the very coldest, but I can tell you that being outdoors all day at -20C is a very bracing experience, and that's nothing compared to the temperatures over Christmas. Those Canadians are a hardy lot!

540 air: sorry ... if it helps, Mr Itchy is mumbling the words along with you (he knows the words! Shame.)

Badger and Jane: right. Really wouldn't want that on my head.

Ojo: thanks for viewing :)

Bring back Vanilla Ice!! Oh well, maybe not, he's probably best left running a bike shop in Florida or something.

He could, uh, pump up the volume. Of your tyres. Yeah.

I miss vintage Run-DMC, myself ...

540air says:

Nearly got to see them back in '87 while on holiday in Florida. Them and the Beastie Boys were just great.

19th Jan 2009, 22:32

itchymoblog says:

*is jealous!*

I saw the Beastie Boys 10 years after that and they were absolutely the best live band ever.

19th Jan 2009, 22:34

540air says:

Teh Beastie Boys are still full of cool, but back then they were awesome.

19th Jan 2009, 22:40

itchymoblog says:

Yeah, definitely. I didn't really listen to them for a while and then To The 5 Boroughs came out and I got excited about them all over again ...

Caine says:

Boy, does that look familiar! The front of our house has mutant icicles like that. I've been keeping my distance - they have the look of killer icicles. ;D

19th Jan 2009, 23:23

itchymoblog says:

Heh - they look pretty lethal to me too! How do you suppose they come to be bent - is it the prevailing wind?

20th Jan 2009, 08:53

Caine says:

I think the bending happens when there's enough warmth for water to trickle down and off - water goes at a weird angle, then as it gets colder, it freezes again. That, and wind will do the trick.
