PEACE
I always shed a tear at this time of year, not just because I am a manic depressive!! but because I am reminded of all those who don't enjoy the privilege of peace, freedom, happiness, liberty that some of us are lucky enough to share each year with freinds family and people who care for us.
Before you close your eyes after your wonderful celebrations, I wish you spare a thought for those who do not have your luck.

Considering all the stuff I've said about politics and such for the past eight years, I'm pretty sure if I lived elsewhere I'd be in prison now. Or a lot more quiet, which, to me, is exactly the same thing.
Perspective is the best gift in the world you can ever give anyone else. It's the only thing you can't give to yourself.

Thank you Lou, you are by no means alone in thinking what you do, there are a growing number of people who see the injustices of this world and want to do something to change it (and despite how the media portray the youth of today, there are a lot of young people who do want to make that difference). I, too, hope for peace, and for an increasing awareness of the real reasons behind all the conflicts ....
