this sort of display has become commonplace round these parts - until last year an old guy in kilgetty used to cover his entire house and garden in thousands of lights and collect for charity. people travelled for miles to see it. it's now become fashionable and he's retired; local towns have their own championships.
Pretty! There are a few people around here who go all out with the displays, but nothing quite like this!
I'm glad to see some are still at it. In our neck of the woods, there's nothing this year - compared with mad displays to outdo the Jones all previous years! I thought it was the so-called recession.
Mum used to enjoy been driven round to see all these displays
Me - think I'm a bit of a Christmas Scrooge - like to see lit up trees etc but not all the plastic
The kids really enjoyed spotting all the different things these people had lit up in their garden, there was even a shed/summerhouse with a full size Santa waiting to greet you. Just great :)
There seems to be a little less decorating going on around here than past years.
It is unfortunate. I enjoy the lights.
