Images of doom. Also, Orlando. With the occasional spot of metamoblogging. Because being recursive is fun.

An outfit to banish hives, hopefully

I've been schlumpy and awful for a couple of days now, covered with obscenely painful hives. Tonight I came home from a miserable day at work to find new tights in my mail box and that, though I'm still pretty itchy, cheered me up something considerable.

This dress... I wanted to but this dress from my friend Lesley. But I'd just - like the day or two before - finished a work assignment with no more work in sight and I couldn't spend the money. My amazing friends chipped in together and bought me this dress for no other reason than they thought I should have it. They are incredible people. The dress is Blue Plate, a 4x, and a lot shorter than anything I usually wear but how could I not love the pom pom trim? I'm kind of freaked out. It isn't that I don't like my knees, it's that I'm terrified the back will hike up and I won't notice that I'm mooning the world. The tights are size E from We Love Colors in Lavender. The sweater was on clearance last night at Lane Bryant; it's a 22/24 and I might have to go back for two more colors (I also bought it in light grey). The shoes are yellow ruffly mary janes from Target. I love these shoes so hard.

Sorry that my head got cut off in the picture - I was propping my mirror outside and just couldn't find a good angle for it.

Thanks, Helen! Looking back over my outfit pictures is kind of revealing - it's either black black black as far as the eye can see, or my outfit could be seen from space. *laugh*
