What shop did you get the puppies in? Didn't know you could pick them off a shelf and buy them :)

Love that the natural order has been over turned, and that Oscar looks topdog ; )

Madge & Oscar have never met but suspect Oscar would assume he's in charge. He's not under-endowed with confidence, that cat...

The basket of puppies is their owner's attempt at biosecurity, they were seeing the vet for their first healthcheck & vaccination so she was keen to keep them away from other dogs until their shots are complete. Especially sick dogs such as one finds at a veterinary practice.

Oscar was there for his boosters & what a mess they made of him, the poor love. He came home, spiked a raging temperature & fell asleep on an armchair whence he didn't move for 30 hrs. When he did get up, he moved only the 2m to his litter tray, had a giant wee, & hauled himself right back onto his chair in an achey, sunken-eyed & generally piteous state. Didn't eat for 3 days & after the first 10 hrs, he got dropper-fed dilute cat milk until able to drink by himself on Sunday evening.

I think we can deduce a significant immune response to the vaccine...

Aw, poor Oscar.

Oscar does nothing by halves, bless his little lymphocytes...

(Edit) - The pic's not from when he was unwell. He looked far too rough to blog.

Poor thing and to think Nellie spent the day playing in the rain after her booster. She said 13 is the new 10.

Made me laugh out loud :-) i think the puppies looked slightly ashamed of being seen in in a basket...not their colour...and poor oscar... immune response...he'll probably remember it for next time

Glad they're liked - every pic was taken because the silly beast in question had made me laugh out loud so v pleased I conveyed that one. :)

Oscar's had so many vet trips in his young life, to him, vaccination must be just another weird-smelling human sticking him with pins. It's a good job he forgives me for these trips, cat protests tend to be made via the medium of bodily waste...

The pups were very sleepy - they woke up a bit when they got out of the car but were trying to organise themselves back into a comfy, snoozing heap, still blissfully unaware of the people with pins.

Yeah, he's back to his normal self, cheers.
He decided he wanted someone up at 07.15 today & sat gently biffing my nose with his paw until I complied...
