These are random moments in the life of an indecent designer and the city she loves.

And can we really measure
If we think we're any better
than that skyline that goes on and on
forever, on and on...."

- Less Than Jake: Is This Thing On?

Everybody in this world wants the same damned thing-
just not at the same time.

I could be condemned to hell for every sin but littering."

I am a female, carbon based lifeform.
I am a New York City Native.
I am a Design Professional.
I take photographs.
I also sculpt, paint, create mosaics, and play with weapons.

And sometimes, I even dance about Architecture.

What I see, is what you get.

That stuff works well for the most part, and is more practical than duct tape. Trust me on this.

Here's where I play the part of the partypooper and remind you that if the bleeding has not stopped yet, consumption of alcohol is NOT recommended, as it will thin your blood and prevent clotting.

Hmm... Sunday or Monday? Must discuss with The Boy, who is on his way home to sleep after a long night of work followed by a job interview.

I'll check the wound and change dressings as soon as I dry off.

It's gonna scar either way. I dont injure easily but I do tend to scar regardless.

It's just life. Wear a helmet, etc.

kostika says:

That looks painful.

24th May 2005, 16:42

bronxelf says:

I have to change the dressing. meh.we'll see if it still wants to bleed.

crazyb says:

If you are looking for a natural way to reduce clotting times, you need vitamin K, which is found in fairly good quantities in tomatoes!

Warning: You should not eat excessive amounts of tomatoes (or any other vit K containing food), if you have have a heart condition or thrombosis.

LOL

Get your leg fixed girl!

bronxelf says:

No more with the vitamin k. Years ago I needed vitamin k shots. now *every single thing* that happens to my shoulders leaves a mark. :( :( :(

It seems to not be bleeding anymore.
And i hate tomatoes.

Lyzardly says:

"Scars are the wounds that we show
Time only heals, when you're letting go."

(Please excuse random lyric quoting, it's compulsory - I can't help it.)

bronxelf says:

It's totally okay-- I do that also. :)

And Im covered in scars. This is just one more.

24th May 2005, 18:09

Lyzardly says:

I have a lot of scars and I used to be very self-conscious about them. Especially the post-pregnancy stretch marks, but The Boy has a way with words. :)

24th May 2005, 18:14

bronxelf says:

Im only really self conscious about my shoulders. Everything else I figure I've earned.

24th May 2005, 18:16

Lyzardly says:

I'm done with being self-conscious about any of them, earned or otherwise.

They are mine. The history of my scars is mine and I can choose to share it or not. Even the ones that i do know the origins of or would not have been scars had circumstances been different - it's my history to shed light on or leave in the dark.

I reclaimed my scars after reading "Written on the Body" by Jeanette Winterson. (I highly recommend her to everyone and NO it's not "learn to love yourself" or any shit like not. It's just an amazing novel.)

24th May 2005, 18:24

bronxelf says:

The ones on my shoulders really bother me. but Im okay with everything else. I figure I should just tattoo my shoulders and be done with it.

24th May 2005, 18:26

Lyzardly says:

Agreed! Inky goodness coming up!
You set the date and I'll come with and Moblog it.

bronxelf says:

I just need the cash. :) I have 2 pieces of art right here in my notebook but Im gonna need a good 1500 to get em both done.

I have designs for the shoulder bits in my head though.

Geodyne says:

Was red the default colour, or did you choose that deliberately?

25th May 2005, 00:33

bronxelf says:

default color. it's the only color plastic wrap I have.

25th May 2005, 00:34

lizziepants says:

the hair! that's what I wanna see, the hair!

25th May 2005, 04:34

bronxelf says:

My hair? Looks the same as my old hair. Just without the silver roots, is all. same color I always dye it. It's praypul.
