I am married to Spiderbaby and live in Banbury, Oxfordshire after eight years living in the USA and Sweden. I am working and training as a clinical scientist for the NHS in Oxford.

There are now over ten years of photographs on my blog! It all started with a photograph I took on the 1st of May 2004... It's been a wonderful journey, thank you all who have shared it with me, and made this blogging community one I keep coming back to!

Interesting things I read recently:

"Only one in five people born [in the UK] since 1975 believes in God".
Source: Prof David Voas, University of Essex

"For every dollar invested in the Human Genome project, $141 was returned to the US economy". Francis Collins, NIH
Source: New Scientist 27 July 2013.

I am Pavlovs_dog on PSN and would be happy to link up with Playstation-owning mobloggers : )

Too Much Information: The first album I ever bought was the Fraggle Rock soundtrack. Pretty cool, eh? I was only 16 : )

aaah the Fav, I have it on good authority, (from Steve the owner) that were you're sitting in that shot...will very soon be a bar.

17th May 2005, 11:16

crickson says:

Nooo!!!! Thats our darkened corner! Don't take that away! You'll have to cope with us mixing with normal people!

btw where were you on saturday, thought you were meeting us at bourbon?

17th May 2005, 11:17

Joe says:

did you not get my text?...bugger....we decided on a night in, because nobody would come out to play...

17th May 2005, 11:21

crickson says:

sorry, maybe I mis-typed the number.... Will check I sent you the right one later.

No worries, another time : )

17th May 2005, 11:24

Joe says:

text me it if you like :) ....I'm sure there will be other oportunities...soon...
yes aparently the "lounge" area of the fav, will be (in steve's words) "self contained"....they are putting a veranda on the side of the conservatory, and making the conservatory doors a second entrance....

FakeID says:

Cor, that is a great shot. Very evocative. :)

i says:

ahh. the fav. memories of a distant misspent youth come flooding back

17th May 2005, 12:13

crickson says:

Joe> I wish they'd just leave it alone. Who asked for all that stuff? And I wish they wouldn't play the music so loud in the evening that I have to shout and can't hear anybody. If I want to go to a club, I will. If I go to a pub I want a drink and conversation.

17th May 2005, 12:35

Joe says:

well...I think the idea is that the main bar will be the loud bar, and the "lounge" bit will be just that, seperate with no or very quiet music....I'm not sure about it myself...I like the idea of a veranda in the summer though :)

crickson says:

Looks like I'll be a Whitelocks regular for a while yet.

17th May 2005, 12:39

Joe says:

I've always prefered the angel to whitelocks...but then at £1.55 a can tell what my priorities are :)

17th May 2005, 12:42

seaneeboy says:

The angel is OK, but I find it a bit overly crowded and smokey on a friday evening... and the beer's not that great IMO...

17th May 2005, 12:47

crickson says:

Whitelocks definately has better beer, and it's hidden and quiet. The whole pub feels like a secret society.

Mofette says:

17th May 2005, 13:26

Leeds is a Moblog nexus. It will go down in the annals :)

17th May 2005, 13:31

crickson says:

I'm hoping to collect every one of the Leeds bloggers on my friends list. It's a bit like Pokemon.

I'm sure I'm missing some thou. Please make yourselves known.
