I make things on the web, mobile and in the actual world.

I've done lots of bits and bobs over the years, and right now I'm mostly working on this.

I enjoy speaking about things I like, most recently this. You can email me if you'd like, and I'm on twitter.

was looking at the site earlier, interesting concept...but totally exploitable in spam terms....imagine if every time you walked in a shop, the shop hammered your phone with "special offers" via bluetooth...no thanks.

neat... most people don't leave bluetooth on, though. (I only turn mine on if I'm in a crowded train car or somethin'.. )

surely if this kind of thing became prevalent, people would get wise and leave their phones undiscoverable, thus rendering the product obsolete?

hehe...thems some mighty big words for this time of the evening.....
I suppose then that kind of works as an "opt in" system, if you want the messages, then you turn bluetooth on.....there are ways to snarf certain phones even if they're set as undiscoverable, but I doubt that using those kinds of methods would stand up to much of a legal battering.
