It seems strange to think that I've been listening to them for fifteen years...

Youre not old. You just have taste.

*getting excited to see them in two weeks*

bobisdead says:

yeah I've come to accept that I'll probably never see them. This tour doesn't bring them anywhere near me, and it seems to be all sold out anyways.
But who knows...
he hasn't offed himself yet, maybe he'll make it through a few more decades of making music/touring....
have you seen them before elf?

bronxelf says:

I have. I saw him when he was on tour with David Bowie and Tin Machine,in Seattle(technically, in Tacoma, at the TacomaDome). But APK, Kiia and Cassiusdrow are all going to see him at the Hammerstein Ballroom here in NYC on the 15th. My guess? There will be blogging. :)

bobisdead says:

yeah take lots of pics....

bronxelf says:

Can do. I don't know what kind of resolution we'll get out of the cameraphones, but I am sure there will be photos.

I want to see the sweat glistening on trent's brow...
Is that too much to ask?

bronxelf says:

depends on how close I can get. I may send someone else that close. I dont take well to mosh pits. I tend to start swinging. Reflex. But Cassiusdrow is MUCH taller than me and can probably get a good shot.

bobisdead says:

yeah I don't do well in mosh pits either, or any public dancing venue...I guess I'd rather sit back and enjoy the music. Of course if the music moves you, it's hard not to respond in some way....I might for instance sway in my seat, or rythmic leg tapping always seems to work well....

I'm sure it will be a great show wherever you end up watching from.
I'm certainly envious.

bronxelf says:

I dont mind dancing. I love to dance and I dont get much chance these days. But my reflex action to what goes on in a pit is to start swinging, and once I get to that point, I play for keeps and someone is gonna get hurt.

(and i know the silly drow, if I start swinging, he's gonna want to get involved, and then his wife has to bail us both outta jail.)

bobisdead says:

and you got to see him with bowie....?

well maybe there is a reason to live near a larger city..

the closest he's coming this tour is chicago, which isn't teribly far I suppose...something like a 10hr drive,

but alas it was sold out by the time I was aware of it.

2nd May 2005, 19:04

bronxelf says:

Yeah. Really? I was there to see Bowie. NIN was just an added bonus.

2nd May 2005, 19:06

cassiusdrow says:

I'm very excited to see NIN again. I saw them on the Fragile 2.0 tour in NYC, the night Marilyn Manson came out to sing Starfuckers during the encore.

I won't go near mosh pits either. I go to concerts for the music, not to get in a fight.

When I saw A Perfect Circle last April, they would not allow people to enter the venue with cameraphones.

bobisdead says:

I guess I was rather naive about how cool bowie was until the nin tour /album thingy....
of course i was pretty naive about a lot of things, and maybe I still am.

when i was in high school people were still really into the hair bands, and even i had a metallica hat.
I shudder to think about it.

another thing I missed out on was radiohead...just in the past 3 years I've really gotten into them. before then I had just known of the creep song, and thought that was all there was to them.
gawd what an idiot.

anyhoo, im going to go bake some havarti dill scones.
