Can't you get another pair the same bronx? :)

bronxelf says:

Doubt it. Ive had these a while... Frame styles change so much. I will have to see what I can do. I actually have another pair, but theyre not like these (these are more comfy and less formal) and I think my prescription needs adjusting (from "bad" to "fucking bad".) I just have to make sure to go with someone so they can make sure I don't look too horrible with what I pick out. :(

No the frames arent broken but theyre getting pretty banged and chewed up(I have never claimed to be easy on anything.). :( I dunno. I have to go see. I have vision coverage on my insurance so I should go at least look.

Good idea phoenix. You should be able to just get the lenses changed bronx.
Failing that just post pics from the store and we'll try to help :)

That sounds like fun. :) I also really need something with sunglasses. My eyes are bad enough that I cant wear cheap sunglasses unless Im wearing contacts and I try not to wear contacts unless Im dressed up for something special.

I find selecting new glasses a nightmare.

Can you not get lenses that react to sunlight? i think they're a little more expensiv but freely available over here.

30th Apr 2005, 22:25

bronxelf says:

I can. But I also want to see about ones with the little sunglasses attachment. However your idea sounds better. I tend to lose these little attachment thingies.

Helen: Me too, which is why I try to avoid it.

I should just get RK on my eyes and be done with it.

Ive had a number of friends who have had it done over the years. Everyone so far has been very happy with it. I don't know. I know I've been wearing glasses and contacts since sixth grade and I'm tired of it. :(

bronxelf says:

oh I'm much more nearsighted than that. Last time I had a check one eye was 4 diopters off and the other was 4.5 diopters off.

My glasses have the lenses that react to sunlight. I like them a lot, but they have their drawbacks. They can be slow to react, especially when coming indoors, and when in the car the don't usually darken up regardless of how bright the sun is, due to the UV filters on the winshield. But sunglasses is one less thing I have to think about so I will get them again for my next pair.

My glasses have the sunglasses attachment. While it's better than nothing, I get horrible reflections of my cheekbones inside them. It makes it very difficult to see at times.
