did it work?

29th Apr 2005, 23:51

Euphro says:

At least most of the Vodafone nonsense has disappeared from the message text, now if I could only get bluetooth to work :)

29th Apr 2005, 23:52

Euphro says:

The funny thing is that although the bluetooth driver software can see the 'phone, the Sharp handset manger can't. I'm a bit flummoxed :(

29th Apr 2005, 23:57

Euphro says:

What, and start using a 'phone to send pictures, never :D

First moblogged birth anyone? Possibly even world first? Now that could be a bit of a coup.

30th Apr 2005, 00:10

Euphro says:

Birth just about maybe, but elective caesarian... even mobloguk isn't quite ready for that one (Dali aside, Phoenix) :D

30th Apr 2005, 00:13

Rich says:

Ahhh, yeah, OK, I think we can pass on that one :)

I'm sure we can expect a few shots of hopsital corridors though. What sort of timescale are we looking at until the happy event?

EDIT: Man! Yeah, just think of the cake Mel could make! Both mind and stomach at equal boggle-level.

Euphro - I have a sharp phone too, which one did you get?

Most sharp phones, sadly, don't support bluetooth object exchange, i.e. the only way to get pictures and stuff from your phone to the computer is via the handset manager, which is a piece of crap. I've experienced the same problems you're describing above, just keep playing with the ports settings... They like to keep changing.

Is it just me, or does Euphro remind anyone else of Douglas Adams?

A - Looks like you're suffering from the same Sharp/Bluetooth woes that led me to change my 902 for a SE S700i. ;(
Sharp bluetooth is cack!!
What date have they given you for the happy day?

30th Apr 2005, 17:08

Euphro says:

Managed to sort out the bluetooth problem, but can only exchange objects using the handset manager, as is Daz's experience. We will know the due date after tomorrow week, but should be around the middle of the month :D
