i don't even bother with any other colours than black. i just end up looking far too filthy. Though i use a lot of white acrylic paint in my line of work so i tend to have filthy sleeves anyway.

I usually wind up with ink or graphite on my face as well. As happens I was using both red and black marker that day because I was working out the color scheme for the store.

I really want a nap. Like, now.

i got up and made boy breakfast (what is happening to me?) and now i've got back in bed.. i got nearly two hours before uni. can i kip?

6th Apr 2005, 08:46

bronxelf says:

I dunno, can ya?

What's kip?

I have class at 11-- lapidary studies, and then *right after* I have design studio. No break.

6th Apr 2005, 08:48

Euphro says:

kip=nap. Lapidary studies? like faceting gemstones? An interest in gemstones was one of the things that directed me towards geology :)

bronxelf says:

In this case it's more of a stone and mineral ID class, and how to work with them in the context of Restoration, but yeah.

bronx I was reading your blog... ty so much for all your good wishes, you are completely wonderful if not amazingxx

Euphro says:

Oops, sorry, didn't mean to interrupt

6th Apr 2005, 14:41

bronxelf says:

Mermy: Just glad you're all right. :) When we all heard you and Bev and Tom needed some support we all just did what seemed best at the time. Seems to have worked though, since you're up and about and healthier. Did they finally repair all the damage this time?

6th Apr 2005, 14:43

bronxelf says:

Euphro: youre not interrupting. (have I mentioned lately we need comment threading?)

Anyway, Sort of. I missed a trip to the AMNH last week, which Im sure Im in hot water for, but the problem is I have design studio *immediately* after this class. So I'd have had to boogie out of there a good 40 minutes early to make sure I made *design studio* on time, and we were starting a half hour late to begin with.

Screw it-- I just went to design studio. It's part of this fucked up juggling act I have to do between departments. :(

well I may need another operation, I`m doing fine really when you consider things....I have lost some memory which is terribly frustrating....I feel like im falling to one side a bit or going up and down like on a boat... I`m on epilepsy drugs not for epilepsy but for pain relief as these switch off the electrical impulses in the brain, as well as some other drugs to prevent a stroke and bleeding. Theres lots of things I`m not allowed to do and I can walk only very slowly atthe moment and not very far but I`m building that up again......its all mind over matter and I love a challenge

6th Apr 2005, 14:51

bronxelf says:

I can imagine the memory thing is probably worst of all. Are they telling you that this is fixable, long-term? Or is there always going to be some sort of disability there? What things have they told you you're not allowed to do?

6th Apr 2005, 14:55

mermaid1 says:

well the reason im walking slowly is if I walk any faster I get in terrible pain from the blood pumping through my head not due to anything else, I could run if I wanted too but I would be in agony....I need a second scan for that but its impossible to get anything quickly here, its shameful....so I am paying privately sorry to say I feel like im queue jumping but I dont want to get sick again......my memory is getting better, I simply forget things now and then and that will improve when I come off this high dose of epilepsy drugs.....the things I cant do, driving, swimming, sports, climb ladders but I am already doing a workout to get back to maximum fitness.....yes I know but its me I cant help it......they said 40% of people die so im really lucky and it was only a very small vein that bled and it was caught so quick, I am so lucky no thanks to the NHS though.

Euphro says:

Bronxelf: we do need comment threading (I'm on LiveJournal now, by the way :)). Sorry you missed your lapidary class. Can I help? (seriously).

Mermaid1: You are an amazingly resilient person. It sounds like you have been through three sorts of hell and you are still smiling. You have my heartfelt best wishes for a speedy convalescence. :*

6th Apr 2005, 15:39

bronxelf says:

mermy: it didn't sound like the nhs was helpful to begin with- they're the schmucks who didn't listen to you to begin with. we're all collectively both rooting for and worrying about you.

6th Apr 2005, 15:47

Euphro says:

Same name as here. I can see your LJ :)

6th Apr 2005, 16:06

6th Apr 2005, 16:40

bronxelf says:

6th Apr 2005, 16:44

Euphro says:

6th Apr 2005, 16:48

bronxelf says:
