One of the campus buildings used to be used as a creche, and I've only just noticed that it's got these rather freaksome iron children welded to the side of it.

Why, why, why would anybody think such things are comforting and friendly? This thing is clearly a spike-handed, childnapping, souless automatom: lovely.
