Haha! I did it! I had extra mutilations added to my ears!

Now I can be just like Sue from Crocodile Dundee, except for her
blondeness and, um, everything else about her.

The girl that did it to me was lovely. She did ask why I wanted the
extra holes and I, embarrassingly, told her the truth.

You got all three done at once?

Helen says:

Beth, Claire's Accessories, Harrogate. It wasn't planned. I was looking for black and white earrings (very definitely no longer in fashion). I can't ever imagine me thinking "I'm going to Harrogate to mutilate my ears".

Joe... yes, I told her that. She treated me as if I might be a bit unstable from that point onwards...

Brronxelf... no, I already had one in each ear. I just had the extra two (in each ear) added today.

Doesn't hurt. Much. Can't think why I didn't get it done sooner.

Thank you. I have two of the most enormous bottles of cleaning fluid.

mat says:

oooh, nice. Lookin' good. I need more holes in me..

Not holes made with an ear gun though, that hurts much more than the big scary lookin' needle option.

bronxelf says:

I put the second hole in my left eat myself, whilst (whilst?) in a hotel room in Paris.

I highly recommend the experience.Bring alcohol.

And a lighter.

Helen says:

Didn't really hurt. I am a big wuss and I wasn't at all phased by it, although I did go for the skinniest option. (But guns are only for lobes, I had just enough lobe, phew.)

Biggest problem with Claire's Accessories was the audience of small girls outside.

I think Beth has had a go at ear self-mutilation. And my cousin in Canada put a lot of holes in her ears using a needle, an ice cube and a potato(?).

31st Mar 2005, 19:40

bronxelf says:

Yeah. A potato. Pretty common.

stops the *needle* so it doesnt go into your finger.

I didn't have a potato. All I had was 3 lbs of gummi coke bottles. (dont ask.)

31st Mar 2005, 19:42

Helen says:

Yum. Gummi Coke bottles.

31st Mar 2005, 19:53

bronxelf says:

Don't eat 3lbs of them.

Really. The results aren't pretty, even if you are in Paris at the time.

Okay, off to an exam. Maybe I shoulda studied?

Nah.

no helen the biggest problem is the cheap shit earrings they give you that stop sparkling and make your ears go green.

Best thing I have read all year:

"The girl that did it to me was lovely. She did ask why I wanted the
extra holes and I, embarrassingly, told her the truth."

That is a sentence that I never thought I would read!

May I use that line in the future?

Quote all you like. No need to bother with a credit, but it would be nice.

Not sure what's in this for me.

There must be plenty of people out there willing to sponser me!

Ears haven't gone green yet, or exploded. My first set of piercings usually go a little manky if I subject them to cheap earrings, but they have been fine with these ones (and they've been in since Friday).
