Some days I really enjoy my job. It's varied pace, cultural menu, somewhat lax atmosphere.
Like today I would guess I sat or layed around 5 out of my 8 hours on the timecard. I can get away with it because almost everyone else does the same thing.
If there is nothing to do, why bother pretending to be busy?
But then there are some who thrive on making others uncomfortable.
This one woman who I work with a lot has got some real issues with my style.
Her philosophy is, 'if you're waiting for bread to rise, there is always something to be cleaned in the kitchen...'
B fucking S in my humble opinion.
I clean up my mess, and expect others to do the same. And one look around my house will offer any curious minds a look into what depths of filth and disrepair one person can tolerate.
Of course in a kitchen there is a standard of cleanliness one must hold to...food safety is an important thing.
But you know what if i accidently sprinkle some flour on the floor, I'm going to sweep it up and call it good...no need to fucking sanitize.
I love baking, but knowing that I have to put up with her condescending cunt warbling makes me want to hang up the apron for good.
Soon we will be moving if all goes well.
And even if I have to work a stright 9-5 ...two 15's and a 1/2....I'll be better knowing that I won't be around her.
I will of course still be miserable and complaining nonstop....but that's life, isn't it?
