Look at the twiddly bits on that. Lovely.

Len Corby says:

I bloody lurve York!

12th Mar 2005, 12:41

Helen says:

Norwich is better.

12th Mar 2005, 12:47

Len Corby says:

And Hull is better than both of 'em.

12th Mar 2005, 12:49

neel says:

I've only ever been through Hull on the train. I think I like York and Norwich in equal measure but for different reasons.

12th Mar 2005, 12:53

Helen says:

Oh, of course. : )

12th Mar 2005, 12:53

Helen says:

I think York's busy-ness puts me off. It's all squashed.

12th Mar 2005, 12:56

neel says:

I'd rather get to know Norwich a bit better, I think: York is very much all about the centre and outside that there's not too much that I'd be interested in exploring. Norwich seems to have more twiddles.

12th Mar 2005, 12:58

Len Corby says:

York? Squashed? New York, maybe, but not York.

12th Mar 2005, 13:00

Helen says:

I just love the funny people. And the pubs. And all the great eating places. It's so relaxed. Sigh.

I wouldn't want to live in York. I'd move back to Norwich tomorrow. Maybe I have elevated it in my mind.

Cambridge is nice too. Lovely greens and then there's the buildings and the pretty houses. But it never felt like Norwich does to me. Lots of silly people in Cambridge.

12th Mar 2005, 13:03

Helen says:

Haven't you been down The Shambles? Now that's squashed! Almost caving in claustrophobic squashed.

12th Mar 2005, 13:05

Joe says:

Hull!? Hull!?? I lived there for a year, and hopefully I will NEVER go back...that place is the arse hole of the compare it to york is just blasphemy

12th Mar 2005, 13:20

Helen says:

I'm partial to Basingstoke, meself.

12th Mar 2005, 13:28

neel says:

Edinburgh all the way. There's nowhere quite like it.

12th Mar 2005, 13:32

Helen says:

Never been.

12th Mar 2005, 13:35

Len Corby says:

I'm with you there, Neel. 'Mon the Motherland!

12th Mar 2005, 13:40

neel says:

Edinburgh is the nicest, friendliest, safest-est, compact-est, easiest city. Shame about property prices, eh? As if I'm ever going to be able to buy a house - ahahahahahahaa!

12th Mar 2005, 13:46

Helen says:

I shall have to get myself there sometime. Not been to Scotland for years and years. It rained. But I saw a seal.

12th Mar 2005, 13:48

seaneeboy says:

Len, you gotta be kidding about Hull, yeah? It's an atrocious place!

12th Mar 2005, 14:36

Len Corby says:

Oh, I really shouldn't trumpet on about Hull. I haven't even seen it in the daylight. I had a great night out there about 3 years ago, and I've been biased in the town's favour ever since.

12th Mar 2005, 15:03

Helen says:

We all have our quirks.
