A slight shift away from the tone of the previous episodes. We hope this is merely the calm before the storm to come.

It's repeated tomorrow night.

Len Corby says:

It's a weird sitcom, innit? I keep going back cos every episode appears to have at least one moment of unbridled comic genius. The "rapping" in the bedroom scene last night was just gold. A bit like the "No - really, you're all idiots" scene the week before.

neel says:

It really doesn't strike me as a sitcom - more of a comedic drama, maybe.

Morris turns his scalpel to subjects and genres, twisting the forms of programming in order to explore and subvert them. If this is a sitcom then it's definitely an evolution of a sort, and I'm really hoping that its final stages become unremittingly nasty.

It has yet to plough the sheer nastiness of the Nathan Barley clippings on TV Go Home. Although, I'm pleased to see that Nathan is becoming more of a twat with each passing week.

I had absolutely no idea that this is a TV Go Home thingie: that completely passed me by, but I'll definitely investigate further now.

Len Corby says:

It's your lucky day, Neel.

Some nice chap has compiled the lot into one handy compendium.

neel says:

Woo! Cheers for that - the TV Go Home site doesn't seem to have a searchy-thing. Exploring now.

neel says:

That's incredibly depressing. You're right, the TV Nathan is in no way as stultifyingly annoyingly wrong as the print one. Fuck.
