Wow. I'm impressed.

For the first time moblogUK's rejected an image I've sent because it's too big! So I've had to scale this down, which is something of a first for me...

The curtains, by the way, are not my choice. I wake to the greeny-yellow glow of dawn each morning, thanks to the Uni.

Gotta love Sony Ericsson for thinking of this functionality and then including it as standard on the K700 up.

It's not on the S700...

22nd Feb 2005, 15:04

neel says:

But the S700 is the loveliestest thing ever, right?

22nd Feb 2005, 15:07

mat says:

Oh yes. Except it doesn't have the panorama mode. And mine won't rotate images, but then it's running pre-release firmware.

neel says:

It confused me at first that the K700i is set at a landscape orientation by default, when you're naturally holding it 'upright'. At least it shows you the actual area that's being photo'ged, though, rather than the guesswork of the T610.

22nd Feb 2005, 15:09

mat says:

You're supposed to turn it to landscape - it's their "dual-front" concept, which never really worked for me on the K700. The S700 does dual-front perfectly though - it doesn't half confuse me when my camera starts ringing halfway through a photo....

I've been playing with the white balance on my s700...check the images I posted this morning (Chapel Allerton winter) looks like I've put a blue filter on the images...the spot photometry is just awesome as well

Next month I'm getting a new one. Currently torn between the K700, S700 and the samsung D500.

And before mat begins preaching the S700 vitues again the only reason I'm not going straight for that one is the cost. Money is tight.

Joe says:

my mate just bought a d500, not that impressed with the camera for a 1.3 MP.....nice phone all the same.... and markedly better than most of the other futurephones around

K700i was free since I've bumped-up my call plan for a couple of months. After that I should be able to drop it back to naff-all minutes without being penalised on the phone.

I was used to holding my T610 like a camera, since the screen effectively looked straight through the phone body. This way round works, but it seems 90degrees out of phase.

Mat: you can do that "moving bits of city to get the perfect shot" thing, right?

22nd Feb 2005, 15:17

neel says:

I'm sticking with Sony Ericsson for the moment: BooToof works really nicely to sync up contacts and calendar between my Mac and my phones.

22nd Feb 2005, 15:18

Groovicron says:

It does seem really nice.... but I want the camera to be good..... but I can't afford the S700..... the K700 has a good camera... but the D500 seems really nice.... but i want the camera to be good... aaaaaargh!

22nd Feb 2005, 15:18

mat says:

Damn straight. A few calls from me, and London's in the English Channel.

22nd Feb 2005, 15:19

Groovicron says:

Shit that's me sold. S700 for me now lads! :)

22nd Feb 2005, 15:20

/Alfie says:

Hey Mat, have you managed to get full screen video on the S700 yet?
I think the only way is to get a 3rd party player like packetvideo no?

22nd Feb 2005, 15:23

mat says:

I didn't really try, to be honest. I only have one video on the phone (Steriogram's Walkie Talkie Man) and that's at lower resolution than the screen anyway.
