Making soup the Helen way

1. Select tin from cupboard. Tin must have ring-pull, discard all tins that require use of can-opener.
2. Empty contents into bowl. Put in microwave with plate on top to help prevent explosions. Tap in some numbers.
3. Take out of microwave. Put bowl on plate. Serve.

for just one minute there, I thought you'd taken the bold step of placing a tin of soup in the microwave and moblogging the results for us....however, you could reduce the washing up output of your technique by simply discarding the plate, and merely coating the microwave with soup, and burning ones hands...a small price if you ask me.

If I ever do try to microwave a tin can, I will be sure to have my camera phone at the ready.
