Formal apology

Dear Mr Ericsson

Having spent the last 8 months slagging off your K850i I would like
to take this opportunity to apologies and amend my previous views.

My K850i died 2 weeks ago for no apparent reason, so I was left with
no choice but to have a new one sent out to me by Orange.
Surprisingly this was achieved in less than 24 hours so well done
Orange. The new phone looked liked the old phone but it had one major
difference, software. The camera on this model now works brilliantly
and it has put pay to all of the problems that I had with the last one.

It's official the K850i is a great blogging camera phone, and it has
rekindled my love of moblogging. Hopefully I will now be able to keep
my page a bit more updated!

Anyone who got an early release of this phone who is also unhappy
with its performance would be wise to talk to their providers about a
software upgrade. That is assuming that they didn't make hardware
changes too.

That's encouraging - my K750i has developed Random Faults whcih are never a sign of happiness.
Nice pics to go with all today's UFO stories...

Ooh, that's very good to know. My K800i has developed a random fault too and I had been terrified of replacing it.

It's the mark of a true moblogger that I have been more prepared to put up with an earpiece fault that prevents me from being able to hear the person I'm speaking to, than to entertain the possibility of a crappy camera.

Heh - that'll be my k800i too - now it's on its way to being broken I seem to be conflating it with the last phone. :)

Steve says:

Glad to be of help.

OJ, having a crap camera really did have a profond impact on how I live my life. I now have to get back into the habit, I feel like I have regressed.

so how does it change the camera use?
is it all the same but just it takes good photos?

Steve says:

It used to lag, and fuck up the colour balance, exposure, and generally be crap.

Oh. I turned down an upgrade offer 'cos it took me so long to get used to my 800. Maybe I'll have a rethink
