These are random moments in the life of an indecent designer and the city she loves.

I also sculpt, paint, create mosaics, and play with weapons.

And sometimes, I even dance about Architecture.

This is what we now know:

His lungs are fine.
His heart is slightly enlarged but not incredibly.
His abdomen appears to be full of gray fluff. So much so, that it's obscuring most of his organs. You can kind of see a kidney, and a bit of intestine, and a gas bubble in his tummy. But that's about it. The rest of his abdomen seems to be in fog.

What is this fog? We don't know that yet. Could be fluid. Could be a mass. Could be aliens. I have no idea and neither does Scott. It is not clearly defined. If it were, it would be better- a clear tumor would be easy to remove.

We are waiting now for blood test results to determine if he is a surgical candidate. If he is a good surgical candidate, the next step is to have a sonogram done to determine what the fluff is. If he's not, there's no need for surgery anyway, and so it doesn't much matter what it is.

He's home now, and of course the first thing he did was shove his head into a food bowl and eat. Wiseass. Not a ton, maybe a small handful. But way more than he had been. I will continue to feed him with the baster anyway.

Scott will call as soon as he has the blood test results back.

Grey fluff? Wow. When he gets sick, he really goes for it. Poor beastie. Still the vet seems to have got him comfort eating, at least...

The oldest cat I've ever had died at 11, she was healthy though, car, peril of an outdoor life : ( The rest of them faded away at around 8 (inbred farm cats, taken in as strays.)

Hope the vet can get clearer information to you soon. In the meantime I'm sure you're giving him the best care any cat, or being, could hope for.

Take care xx

I am so sorry to hear this. It's not easy to begin with, it's harder when you don't know what's going on. I love you, I'm thinking of you both, and have everything crossed it's something easily fixed.
