Anything Baxter thinks is high concept, I'm up for. I love Baxter's stuff.

Dammit though, it's on Gollancz/Orbit. They don't publish much electronically.

Started this last night and it's good - I always find sci fi that starts at bronze age level culture and shunts a character up a few levels kind of tiresome, but this works so far.

Just finished this. Wow, really gruesome - I actually found my face gurning at some scenes. This is a morality tale really; I enjoyed it but because it's so focused on the morality of the protagonist the ending left me feeling a bit up in the air.
