Bless him, he actually did it and well done to team Ronan Keating who joined the other 35,000 or so very brave people who joined the marathon treck round London and raised enormous amounts of money for their various charities, well done to them all!

I was a little disappointed with the BBC that there wasnt more coverage of the celeb runners apart from a very brief 5 minute interview with them before the races got going and very briefly showing their exact locations on a map at various times throughout the day - they showed James Cracknell, Gordon Ramsey and Ben Fogel all crossing the finishing line but no coverage of Ronan crossing the line, and why didnt they show Harry Judd (drummer from McFly) as a celebrity runner either? There was no mention of him at all and I watched most of the coverage until it stopped on BBC1 and I didnt notice him and didnt hear his name mentioned once at all on the commentary but I have seen from his fundraising page that he completed it too, so well dont to Harry as well, it was another £20 well spent in sponsorship money! Think the coverage could have been a lot better than it was and I got up specially at 8.30am sharp to watch it all as Ronan was running and the coverage he actually got, I have compressed onto a DVD for my friend (as she unfortunately missed it) and it lasts no longer than 10 minutes in total! Very poor amount of coverage in my eyes but then I am very biased anyway! I think Ronan has inspired me to possibly get my running shoes out and possibly have a got at it when I can get the fitness levels up and actually get a place in the London Marathon, as I have heard that over 65,000 people have already applied! Well done Ro, we are all very proud of you! Best wishes always, XXX Louise XXX

Forgot to mention - Steve Prescott, Terry O'Connor and Chris Joynt (ex Super League Rugby League players) also ran the London marathon to raise money and they never got a mention either, so well done to them too! XXX Louise XXX

@Louise & Angela
totally agree, was disgusted by the coverage of the marathon, was on tender hooks to see if Ronan had made it, and the fact that u never got 2 c Ronan going through the finish line (unless u went on to sky, and by the time i had done that i would have missed it anyway) just made it worse.
well i was very proud of him,

@Louise, i also thought about getting the running shoes out, would have to get fit first (well, i was tired watching them lol), might consider doing it some time in the future

@ Col - I had taped the whole race as I wasnt sure if my friend would get to watch it so I taped it onto our DVD recorder for her and decided to condense it down so she could see the "best bits", which was about 20 minutes in total! This consisted of Ronan's pre-race interview along with Kelly Bryan, a couple of interviews with people before the race (James, Johnny-Lee and Ben - Gordon and Graham Poll), 3 updates on where the celebs were during the race, 1 very emotional interview with Jonathan Pearce during the race and the interviews with some of the celebs at the end including the heart breaking interview that brought me to tears. I didnt even know Sky were covering it, as I thought with BBC showing the race, that Sky wouldnt be allowed to televise any of it, but I will know for next time, so thanks for advising me on that. I was really disappointed with the overall coverage and why they had to show the results of all the races that had already finished well over an hour before, at the exact same time Ronan must have crossed the finish line, god only knows! I wont ever watch it live again I would tape it so I can watch the best bits and skip over the rest (that is unless Ro gets his running shoes on again, in which case I might just be joining him running in the crowd somewhere for the MKF/Cancer Research UK!!!) God bless him, he has inspired me to try and get running! Best wishes XXX Louise XXX
