Ah, no sorry - "coup" is also "cut" from "couper" - to cut so it's a [hair]cut of transformation. Also a serving of some drinks - "un coup de champagne" a helping hand "un coup de main", a glance "un coup d'oeil", to have the knack "avoir le coup"... it's one of those, sorry.
