I once stayed in a horrible hostel in Islington and left within hours because it was so grim. Seems like things have changed over the last few years. Sounds great.
I've had some pretty grim hostel experiences in the past but have only walked out of one. This one really was a cut above.
The one meal we had was pretty good. It was home cooked but not fancy-smancy in way. I'd recommend it to anyone.

hostels, like everything, vary immensely. I've stayed there a long time ago and it was fantastic then, glad it's still up to scratch!
Billion - it was built around 1820 I think. This isn't the Mansion but teh servant's quarters!
You would be impressed Para ... you can also get some decent cycling in.
